Oliver Cromwell The Leaving Do

Thank you to all our friends who came to our Leaving Do last night, we had a great time and it was lovely to see you all, but also sad to be leaving you. Here are some photos of the event. Nice view of the old bridge in St Ives, and in the Oliver Cromwell Pub, a good time was had by all, but bad headache this morning... Now only 4 days to go...Tom and I are so excited and wish to get going... Next time we write we will be there!

21 july update

Just packed our rucksacks... I had laid out 3 times as many clothes that fitted into my luggage :- ( ... chucked out shoes, tops, trousers... what am I going to wear... but I got my Swimming cozy... looking forward to a midday swim)

We are working hard to clear the house, Tom is still working at Visual Planet until Friday, we need to paint the house before it can be rented... that will be a whole weekend job with the help of Sarah and anyone else who wishes to join in.

Mozambique is becoming reality now... what work will we be doing, what will we have for dinner... and the toilets? Will our bed be comfy, no cars... no shops... bliss! Scorpions, crocodiles... but worst of all mozzies! But no stress, no noise, only nature and simple life.. and smiles all around... that the best way to be.. 'smile and the whole world smiles with you'... I am so happy that Tom and I and Stuart will have the opportunity to explore this amazing place... Google; MANDA WILDERNESS. I can't wait to wake up on our first morning and see this new amazing natural world and explore it with my two (out of 3 + 3 favourite girls) favourite boys...

Everything in place

The visas arrived yesterday, now everything is in place. We had a nice Italian meal with the the children for Peggys Birthday. And it rained. and rained.
We wonder about how how different everything will be. We are looking forward to the adventure....

Here we are, Saturday evening, relaxing after a busy day. Today we bought the rucksacks and the mozzie net.

We found out what our accomodation was going to be like... Different to Limes Park...

But the sunsets are tremendous...
